Aditi Shah is a wellness expert, speaker, and creative who is passionate about mental health, community and storytelling. She is a founding instructor of the meditation and yoga programs at Peloton as well as the director of wellness for the impact magazine The Shift. As a multi-hyphenate at the intersection of fitness, wellness and culture, she fosters deep connections and empowers individuals to live authentic and fulfilling lives. Her work has been featured on the Today Show, Shape, Vogue, Well + Good and more.

Join Phyllicia for an all level guided flow focusing on grounding and new growth. This practice will help you develop greater body awareness, improve your balance and coordination, and enhance your overall sense of well-being.
Phyllicia Victoria is an artist, yoga/ pilates instructor, wellness influencer and sound bath facilitator based in San Diego/NYC but can be found worldwide. Previously an elementary art teacher with her masters in fine art painting- yoga has translated into a moving art and meditation for her. She has been practicing yoga since she was 17 and decided to dive deep into her practice and received her yoga teacher certification in 2016. Phyllicia loves teaching dynamic vinyasa flows, Pilates mat classes that will make all the muscles burn in the most eloquent way, meditative soundbaths that will let you tap into your inner peace, and everything in between. Phyllicia’s mission is to inspire health and wellness in every individual in an accessible way. She uses her voice to share her journey showing how to live by following the vibration of your heart.

Riva Gdanski is an International Yoga Teacher and Functional Mobility Specialist based near NYC. She has been sharing her love of mindful movement & healthy living for over 15 years as an instructor, content creator, and contributing writer.
Riva’s classes creatively combine strength, flexibility, breath & awareness. She is the founder of RENEW with Riva, a wellness app where she shares her customized Yoga, Pilates, Mobility & Guided Meditation sessions. She especially enjoys teaching at Yoga Festivals and Wellness Events all over the world.

This invigorating Vinyasa Yoga Flow is designed for all levels of practitioners seeking to deepen their practice and enhance their physical and mental resilience. This dynamic class will guide you through a series of fluid movements, linking breath with movement to create a meditative flow.
Victoria began her yoga journey fourteen years ago, and her passion for the practice has shaped her into a dedicated health and wellness entrepreneur, yoga athlete, and instructor—all while bravely managing lupus. A Dartmouth College graduate and former financier, she believes in the transformative mind-body benefits of yoga and is committed to inspiring devoted yogis, lupus warriors, and health and wellness enthusiasts through her teaching and engaging content. Today, she shares her journey to empower others on their paths to well-being.

You will learn a grounding and calming sequence of yoga postures, along with gentle breathing, that work in conjunction with the signaling of the nervous system, so that you finish the class with a deep sense of calm and inward awareness.
Eddie Stern is a yoga teacher, author, and researcher from New York City. He is the author of Healing Through Breathing: Four Lessons for Lasting Health and Happiness, an Audible Original, as well as the best-selling One Simple Thing: A New Look at the Science of Yoga and How it can Change Your Life. With an extensive background of over thirty-five years in yoga, science, health, and education, Eddie has developed a multi-disciplinary approach to yoga called Yoga Sangraha, which includes studying traditional texts and combining the application of their practices to spiritual growth, healthcare, scientific research, technology, and collaboration. His school, Broome Street Yoga, is housed in a small Hindu temple, The Broome Street Ganesha Temple, in SoHo.

This energizing all levels vinyasa flow invites you to return to your breath, connect to your body, and move through the solstice with clarity and intention. Expect grounding breathwork, mindful movement, and a collective celebration of light, renewal, and alignment.
Shayla Quinn is a yoga and meditation teacher, wellness content creator, and host of The Yoga Inspired Life Podcast. this New York City based L.A. native is on a mission to help others step into their power, find their flow, and create lives they truly love living. With over a decade of experience, Shayla blends traditional yoga philosophy with modern mindset tools to guide students through personal transformation and intentional living. Through her platform, Activate Align Expand, she offers accessible practices and programs to support growth from the inside out. Shayla is known for her grounded energy, relatable wisdom, and ability to hold space for deep connection and lasting change.

Douglass Stewart will lead an All Levels Flow (intermediate) class with suggested modifications.
Douglass has been teaching yoga since 2001. He is the co-founder of Yoga in Times Square, celebrating the Summer Solstice by uniting the community of yoga enthusiasts around the world. He has received the Community Center Service Award for volunteering his yoga classes at the Lesbian and Gay Community Center. Douglass teaches at the Ishta Yoga Center, including the Teachers Training. He teaches yoga at Om City Yoga and currently leads meditation and the PPOW Gallery.

Registration for Solstice in Times Square 2025 will open in spring 2025. Please ONLY register for one class.
Check-in information will be emailed to you prior to the event. If you successfully registered for a class, you should receive a confirmation email that specifies the check-in location the day before the event.
If you register on the day of the event, you can check in at either 46th St & Broadway (enter from the west and look for the blue signs) or 48th St & Broadway (enter from the north and look for the magenta signs).
You should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your class.
For contactless check-in, please have your ticket ready to scan on your smart device or printed out on the day of the event.

No, registration is not transferable and you cannot bring a guest under your registration. Each participant must register themselves in order to have their own ticket.
Yes, but children under 18 must have a signed release on their behalf before they can enter the site. Releases will be available at check-in. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
The schedule for Solstice 2025 has not yet been announced. Keep an eye out and check back in Spring 2025.
You can only register for one class. If you register for more than one class, you risk your entire registration being deleted. However, you are welcome to attend as a walk-up participant for additional classes as space allows.
All classes are free! However, while you register, you have the option to make a donation to the Alliance's outreach services, which help vulnerable individuals living in Times Square. Through our trust building efforts, we work towards connecting individuals in crisis to the social services they need. No donation is too big or small!
Public transit options and more are listed on our Getting Around & Parking page. Your check-in location will be located within the center of Times Square's Bowtie, easily accessible by all subways that stop in the neighborhood and a variety of other transit options listed at the link above.
No, you should arrive dressed for class. There are no lockers or storage spaces available.
Free yoga mats will be provided to registered attendees while mats last. Participants are limited to one mat only, to make sure there are still mats available for all attendees.
We will be offering water at the event, but it's still a good idea to bring your own water bottle!
There are no public bathrooms provided.
The Yoga Village will be located on Broadway between 43rd and 45th Streets; enter at 45th and Broadway. Sponsors will have various tents set up with information, free samples, activations, and coupons. Solstice participants are invited to enter the Yoga Village directly following their classes.
This event will take place rain or shine!
Our hope is that each class will take place in its entirety, but the safety of instructors and participants is our top priority. In past years, we have occasionally delayed individual classes to let rain subside, but have not yet had to cancel a class. We will keep all attendees well informed if a class needs to be delayed or cancelled.
We encourage you to dress appropriately for the weather and hope to see you on Broadway for yoga on the longest day of the year!
Yes. Solstice in Times Square is an accessible event for people with disabilities. When registration opens, we will ask you to submit your accessibility accommodations by a certain date when you register for the event.
There will be an ASL interpreter on site for all classes, provided by Inclusive Communication Services. The live stream will also have sign interpretation all day and optional real-time captions.

No, this event is held on the Broadway Plazas, which are smoke free year-round.
Please register at the same time and then arrive together at least 30 minutes ahead of time at your designated check-in point. Unfortunately, you will not be able to “save” a spot for a guest that is arriving later.
